Stopped in with a friend and sat on the outdoor porch on a perfect day for it. The weather was nice and the musician was playing at a reasonable noise level. We started with the chef's appetizer and it was great! You can tell the prosciutto and mozzarella was fresh and it very much complimented the fresh baked bread and olive oil and herbs. We both chose the filet mignon burgers and were so impressed with the quality and way they were cooked. The fries were also delicious and we know we will be coming back again. :)

My husband and I were excited to try Amici's. He is Italian and I have worked at an upper scale Italian restaurant. When we walked in the door and approached the hostess, we asked for a table for two. There were multiple empty, dirty tables in sight. The hostess said she didn't know if she could seat us and that we'd have to wait to put our names down until the other hostess returned. 5 mins later the other hostess came back and was clearly not interested in acting like she cared about the customers. She took our name and said there were people waiting before us but that it wouldn't be too long. No specific time, but since we could see a lot of empty tables and a lot of servers, I expected it to be about 5 mins. Over 20 mins later, they started seating the people waiting before us. I overheard the hostess asking each couple which table they wanted which is unusual and unprofessional for restaurant staff. In my experience, you should choose a table, take the customer there and offer another table if they request it. She approached us and said we could sit at a high top in the back or table that was right by the front door. I chose the high top but then she said she'd have to go clean it. 10 minutes later she returned and took us to our table again offering that or another one. The high top was right on top of another table so we sat at the other table. She set down plates as we sat down and said she'd be back with silverware. She didn't return. The waitress took our drink order. We had waters and my husband ordered a beer. I ordered a glass of wine and asked it to be brought with my dinner. We ordered the filet mignon burger and manicotti. The manicotti came with a salad which I 'upgraded' to a Caesar salad. The lettuce was brown and there was almost no dressing. The bread was soft and warm. My manicotti was good but no better than what I can make at home myself. My husband ordered a medium rare filet mignon burger. His burger was burned on the outside and closer to well done than medium rare. The cheese on the burger was clearly a Kraft single. That burger was $18! The waitress never brought my wine. We decided not to complain because our food and service was so slow and we didn't want to be stuck there any longer. Overall, a huge disappointment from start to finish.

We were here celebrating a birthday and my grandparents' 69th anniversary. The service was average but the main courses were 5 star! We had the Veal Parmesan, Chicken Dijon, fresh Scallops, and the 36 hour pork chops. The chops were a but tough but everything else were above reproach! I will definitely stop here again when in Melbourne and recommend others to do the same. Please note my girls could have easily shared the spaghetti they ordered. They were enormous!

Took my wife and kids to this restaurant this afternoon for an early dinner. Place was almost completely empty, though we weren't surprised, due to the time (2:45pm). We started with the Calamari and Mac & Cheese appetizers. The Mac & Cheese was tasty, though boiling hot for the first 10 min. The Calamari was relatively tasty, but was almost shockingly large pieces. My son wouldn't even touch then though he loved them at Carabba's just a couple of weeks ago. As far as the entrees, my son has cheese ravioli and my daughter had chicken fingers. Both were just ok, nothing at all special. My wife and I chose to split the chicken parmesan sub. Being recent transplants from Long Island, we've been dying to find a decent chicken parm. Unfortunately, this was an extremely poor attempt at what can only be described as a very simple sandwich. The extremely thin chicken "pieces" were rubbery and tasted fake. It certainly did not taste like a fresh chicken cutlet. The sauce was just okay and the mozzarella had very little flavor at all. I guess our quest for decent Italian food will continue.

We were treated royally from the moment we walked in the door. My husband and I chose to eat our dinner indoors as it was rainy and cool outside. We had to forgo listening to a great jazz band playing in the covered outdoor bar and patio area. We plan to come back another time to listen to music while we eat. When we arrived at 6:00 there was a drink 2 for 1 special. Our server, Sam, was very knowledgeable and cheerfully answered all our questions. The service was awesome and prompt. In fact all the servers were very attentive. It was tough making a choice as everything sounded so delicious. For an appetizer, we both shared a pan fried dish of calamari that was scrumptious and more than ample for both of us. Our entrée, we both ordered the same one, was Zuppa de Pesce served over piping hot pasta. It was loaded with all kinds of seafood. Our entrée came with the house salad drizzled with a tasty house dressing. Steaming hot bread with an herbal olive oil dip kept being replenished at our table. We couldn't eat all the delicious food so we brought the leftovers home with us. Tony, the General Manager, came over to each of the tables. He told us the restaurant is owed by the Amici family that has another restaurant on Wickham Rd-a very popular restaurant and pizzeria with a yummy bakery it also staffs next door. We have frequent both establishment in the past so already knew we were in for a delightful meal. The present restaurant has been opened almost a year. The bistro is slightly different from a regular Italian restaurant in that they offer much more than just the traditional Italian dishes. Presently they don't offer pizza on the menu. (We were told this would eventually change.) The restaurant does offer ambiance with impeccable service at affordable prices. I definitely vote it a "must try" as you'll be glad you did. By the way, it is closed on Mondays. We didn't live in the neighborhood but would go back in a heartbeat. We will definitely be back to try many of the other offerings that were so hard to pass up. I couldn't find a menu online but did read great reviews on some of the menu items. Also we had trouble reading the menu so bring a flashlight. As our eyes got use to the dim light we realized it wasn't so dim after all.

Had a week wonderful dinner that was prepared to almost perfection. Good, prompt service. The menu has a lot to offer, other than the run of the mill Italian restaurant. If you are in the neighborhood, you won't be disappointed.

Came in for lunch and was delighted to find a great selection of real authentic entrees at a discount. Great place for date night or a lounging lazy afternoon on outside patio.

Went here on Tuesday, March 24. They were very busy. Waited a half hour for a booth. Server was good but things were very very slow and they were out of a few menu items and all their house wines! We got there at 6 pm and left at 9:30 pm. Once the restaurant started to clear out, our food still took forever to get. At that point, we were so hungry that it just didn't taste that good either. Very disappointing overall. The manager on duty that night never came over once and apologized for the wait, offered us an appetizer, or anything... though he walked by many times. How could you not notice a table sitting there with no food for well over an hour?

The newest incarnation of the old Foremans steakhouse location is a (wait for it) badda bing badda bang badda boom. ITALIAN joint!!!!! I love me some meatballs but haven't had them here. I have had their 36 hour pork chop with the jameson reduction and the Veal Saltimboca. I don't know if they make meatballs or not but after having the Veal I wont order anything else. The veal comes topped with prosciutto, mozzarella and has a sherry sauce on it. Oh Mama mia its a good!!!!

First off the food was excellent! Very NOISY place though. The level inside is high for some reason which makes for not a very pleasant experience. Having the dirty dish drop right over a short wall next to the seating room is very loud and disturbing. Moving it would go a long way. The interior is dated ( same as the previous Foremans) and not laid out for very comfortable or cozy seating. Maybe some soft music? Sound deadening furnishings? Lights are too bright as well. The staff however was very good and was over the top for service! Maybe I'm being picky, but this could be a top notch place. Will return but will probably sit at the bar....

Excellent service, great food. I had the 36 hour pork chop and it was amazing. Waiter was very professional. One of the nicer places in the area. Great desserts as well!

The place has a nice layout. We ate outside on the deck under an overhang. The wait staff was great. We ordered the mac and cheese appetizer. It had ham in it and it was great. the salads were good and had a nice touch to it as the dish was wrapped in a sliced cucumber and served with oil and vinegar. I had the 36 hour pork chops. It came with roasted potatoes and asparagus and it was very good. My wife had the chicken parmesean and there were no complaints. This place is more expensive than carrabbas or olive garden but the food is worth it. I would recommend this place.

Excellent food and excellent service. I highly recommend eating here whenever you are in town. A gem in a small beach town.

The location and building are excellent and the waiter was enthusiastic and friendly. Some of the food was outstanding (try the pork-chop) and some was solid but lackluster (a small portion of veal piccata for under $20 is a good choice if you have a craving for piccata, but it wasn't otherwise memorable). It was weak on ambience though. I know Satellite Beach isn't New York or Boston, but Italian is Italian. If your menu mixes Italian and English (like the "soup del giorno") or your staff can't pronounce the names of the dishes on the menu, you should rethink your strategy a little. They were a little weak on the fundamentals too: the waiter tried to set down a plate before clearing the salad plate and nearly dropped my dinner in my lap. It wasn't entirely his fault though because the hostess interrupted him mid-fumble to point out that another table needed him to take their drink order. I may not be the only patron, but I think it's reasonable to expect the waiter's undivided attention, at least while he's moving food from the tray to the table. All-in-all, it's a good choice for delicious food and friendly staff, but not somewhere I'd bring a date.

VERY glad this place came here! Amazing food and they did a 1st class job remodeling the building. I wish I could rate them higher then 5 stars!

Last night we enjoyed a lovely dinner at the new Amici's Beachside in Satellite Beach. They have been open for less than a week but they are off to a good start. The overall atmosphere and food was delightful. You could tell they were still working out some kinks but I am sure it will be a success once that's done. Also if you expecting the same menu as their store in Suntree, be prepared it is very different. We sat at the bar and Carl was our bartender. He was very nice and welcoming. He seemed to be trying to get organized behind the bar. We had the Brie for an appetizer. It was delicious however the presentation makes it a bit difficult to eat. The dish is deconstructed with the idea to put everything together however the pot the Brie is cooked in makes it hard to remove to pair it with the other items. I had the plantain crusted scallops. At first they were exceptional. The sweetness of the plantains really added to the flavor of the scallops. However the scallops are served on a risotto that also includes plantains. By the third or fourth bit, the sweetness was too much. Overall it was a great experience and will definitely be back again.

Amazing! The staff is the absolute best. They go far out of their way to make your meal here the best. Bartenders & waitstaff are just phenomenal (yes, that's you Jonathan, Mark & Timothy!!). Drinks were delicious, specially requested appetizers that weren't on the menu were made, and any accommodations/change requests to the entrees were happily made. 36-hour pork chops left us fully satisfied. Filet mignon and veal saltombocca were cleaned off that plate in minutes...they were that good! Flounder with a crab cake stuffing was just yummy! Their bread and salad (with a champagne dressing) wonderful. Just can't say enough about how much we love this place!

I had dinner here saturday night w/ a guest. The side of pasta was mush, way over cooked. Angel hair pasta is difficult to cook and serve if it is not just right. I suggest they offer a different type of pasta. Also, be prepared to spend at least $50 for 2 people w/ no drinks (1 appetizer) and no desserts. I had the eggplant and it was good but honestly this is not the place to go for Italian food. I hear the Amici in Viera is better. I do not know. I doubt i will be back

I'm giving a 3 for this joint. The mussels were tasty (Prince Edward Island) but so big we had to cut them, which makes it a little oyster-ish. (Still Very tasty) both cocktails were great, limoncello specialty cocktail, and Beefeaters rocks with blue cheese stuffed olives (which they actually had). We asked for recommendations but the server had "just turned 21 in December" so he wasn't much for help. We were slightly rushed to order because he " had been there all day" but we kept our steady pace and had a bottle of ok wine after our app. Salad was nicely dressed, bread was perfectly heated and the dipping oil was fine. I had the shrimp and scallops, in which the scallops totally won. They were so buttery delicious...yum. The shrimp were good but just shrimp. Scallops...spot on. 36 HR pork was underwhelming. Slightly dry with unsalted potatoes and under seasoned veggies. It could be amazing but just wasn't. It's a new location so we want to give it Another try later once wait staff and kitchen staff are better prepared.

I loved the lasagna, it was definitely homemade! The house dressing on the salad was very good, as was the recommended house wine. I would love to go back but I've heard a terrible rumor that they've closed!! I certainly hope that's not the case. I had enjoyed the evening, the staff were friendly, and the guy playing guitar on the patio was pretty good. We had sat inside for dinner and then carried drinks outside

Lied to by the staff and manager, but good food. We came in for the half price tapas and wine. We were told by the waiter that all of the tapas were half price. So we ordered. When the good came, we were impressed by the quality of the food. However, when the bill came, they had overcharged us on ALL of our food. The said that "it was too hard to advertise discounted tapas" so they just call it half off when it's really less. When the manager came to our table to "help", he blamed the owner Tony and said he couldn't do anything. So we had to pay extra because they flat out lied to us and then wouldn't do anything about it. Other than blatantly being lied to and overcharged, the food was delicious. If not for the shady behavior of the staff, we would have come back. I think we will go somewhere else next Tuesday instead.

Loved the meal...went for my Moms 89th birthday. We were treated like gold. Our waiter, Michael was excellent and lots of fun! We both got scallops...hers with spinach ans mine with plantains. Yum yum! The owner and manager came by many times to see how we were doing. The place was packed but we were never rushed to leave and had a good long enjoyable meal. My Mom Loves this place and trust me...if She loves it you will too!

We went here for a casual dinner date night and to see my favorite bartender Adrian. This was my first visit and I am a huge fan. We sat at the bar on the back patio which is a perfect setting for an evening cocktail and dinner. Once seated and drink orders were taken, a warm loaf of Italian bread was delivered with an olive oil dipping plate. So good! We started off with the Pan Fried Calamari appetizer which is probably the best calamari I have had in states. It was fresh and cooked perfectly. A house salad comes with each meal and the presentation is creative. For dinner I had the Bahamian Zuppa di Pesce which was full of jumbo shrimp, sea scallops, mussels, Andouille sausage, and fresh fish stewed to perfection. Once again, it was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend had the 36 hour pork chop with an apple Jameson reduction which was delicious. The service was amazing. The General Manager Tony came around to chat and make sure everything was okay. And I must say that Adrian still makes the best drinks in town. We will be back soon!

Let me start of first by saying I'm a huge fan of Amici's mainland off Wickham. I went in to the beachside bistro with some friends, excited to order my usual pizza. Much to my dismay, I quickly learned the bistro is a bit different. One of those differences is the lack of a pizza oven, so you guessed it, no pizza. Now while this is disappointing, I am not the type of person to let this ruin my entire meal, so I began scanning the menu for something else that caught my eye. I landed on the Filet Mignon burger and I have to say I was pretty impressed. It was a very good burger, cooked perfectly to order, flavorful and juicy. While I did enjoy it, I think it could have used some better toppings, and the chips could have been swapped out with some fries, but they most likely don't have a deep fryer either. The salad that came before my burger was innovative and good, but it could have a been larger. My friend's girlfriend ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and it looked amazing. The meatballs were huge! They also ordered a shrimp and scallop appetizer that was delicious, so it's nice to see an italian place have good seafood entrees and appetizers as well. My only disappointment was our service. Most of the reviews I have seen mentioned great service, so I'm not sure if our server was in a bad mood on an off night or what. He just seemed inattentive, and pretty much pulled my plate away before I was completely finished with it. It also took a little longer than I expected to get the check and bill processed. If it were not for the service, I would easily rate Amici's Beachside Bistro 4 stars, and if they add a pizza oven, it will be a 5 star restaurant. Until then, I'm not sure I'll be back in the too near future. I think I'll make the drive mainland to the original next time.

Pleasantly surprised by the well flavored quality of food. Tried the butternut squash fettucini which was slightly sweet in a butter sauce. Even in the tomatoes on the side salad were exceptionally tasty! Husband had the eggplant rollatini, which was the perfect thickness and flavor was spot on. To top off the meal, a decent cappuccino and tiramisu.

The staff here is friendly and helpful. The location is nicely decorated but a bit outdated. We were promptly seated and our drink order taken. It actually took a ridiculous amount of time to get a glass of wine and a beer. I ordered a ceasar salad and for my entree the homemade sausage which came over pasta. Again a really really long wait for both the salad and entree. The salad was just ok but the sausage entree was excellent. For dessert the lemoncello cake which was very good. What was strange was one of us ordered decaf coffee but when the server brought it he couldn't guarantee it was decaf. How strange is that? Dispite the food being very good it seems that there is little organization at the bar and with the staff. I wouldnt eat here if you were really hungry or in a hurry because the kitchen is really really slow.

We visited this restaurant six months ago and had horrible service. Waiter was inattentive and took over and hour to get our food. We decided that it might have been a fluke and we would give it a second chance. This time we sat at outdoor patio. Atmosphere and musicians were great. Waitress was attentive. We were very hopeful that we would become regulars. After 15 minutes we had to request that our simple house salad be brought to us. I had asked for blue cheese dressing and got ranch instead. After one hour and fifteen minutes from arriving we asked our waitress what was wrong. She said we would be next. Ten minutes later we asked if our food was not coming out immediately to cancel our order. Waitress went to get assistant manager and he apologized, said we will comp this and make it up to you. We waited another 5 to 10 min and he comes back and wonders why we are still around since the waitress had cancel our meal. We have never been to a restaurant where a manager lets a customer walk out of a restaurant without trying to fix the problem. Needless to say we will never go back to this establishment

Been there a few times, outside can get noisy when they had entertainment. The food is good. Pineapple vodka is awesome. Waiter with dreadlocks is awful, but the others are good. Nice for drinks and dinner. Overall it's very good, not cheap by any stretch, but worth it.

The first time I visited Amici's, they had just opened and having been to the flagship restaurant on Wickham, I expected something different and was disappointed because it was more seafood than Italian cuisine. BUT, this time they got it right! I had called earlier in the day and was told no reservations; call an hour ahead and we will put your name on the list. I asked if I could put my name on the list now since I was already on the phone and was told no. Wasn't starting great and I already had preconceived notions. We went anyways and when I was told by the hostess we would have to wait and should have called, I explained what had occurred. At that moment a switch flipped. They hostess accommodated us within 15 minutes. The manager came to our table and took our drink and appetizer order. He was very hospitable and explained the changes for the better that the restaurant had made since opening. Both the hostess and the manager assured us we had the best server in the house. The menu was so much better that my first visit and had a nice blend of seafood and more traditional Italian fare but with a lighter touch. When the server came to take our order, he was efficient but not what I expected from someone touted as "the best" server. Our food arrived: house salad and a Caesar salad. The Caesar dressing was a nice light dressing - not a heavy cheap imitation. I had veal piccata and and my date had veal Parmesan and both were delicious. Not too much pasta. Not overwhelmed with sauce. Tender veal, cooked to perfection. The manager, the owner, & the server assistant were all very attentive and cordial. The server was efficient (except our drinks were empty for quite some time) but really had no personality and added nothing to the experience. He didn't detract from it either though. We ordered the Italian wedding cake to share for dessert and it was delicious! I recommend it. Next time we may go for some wine after dinner and enjoy the music on the patio. It was just too chilly for me to enjoy that this trip. The patio looked very inviting and was protected from the weather however for those more intrepid than I!

I come here at least twice a month for lunch with my networking group called B2B Brevard. The Bistro has great wait staff, beautiful location, but the foo is absolutely sensational. The burgers are delicate, while the pasta is great, along with their huge salads. Yet what I love even more is their bread that place on the table as you wait for your meal. I recommend anyone to stop by and try them out when you are out on the beachside of Melbourne. You won't be sorry. Tell them Jake from Space Coast Comixx sent you!!

This place is a highly over-priced, pretentious restaurant that most likely survives off its bar business... The food is, in a word, tasteless. Three of us had three very different entrees and we were all disappointed. The eggplant came out raw, the veal was not tender and had no flavor whatsoever, and the pasta was over-cooked and had an unappealing sauce laden over it. Not good "Italian" food. Will not return and recommend against going here.

Here's a restaurant that is fun to patronize. The staff is friendly and the food is great. Even the house Merlot by the glass is the best in the area. The prices are very reasonable considering the food quality and service. I highly recommend this facility and suggest the butternut squash plates and if you and your date are just looking for a glass of wine and snack, try the meatball sliders. They are awesome! Deserts are home made in their other restaurant/bakery about 10 miles away. Very fresh and very very good! Inside dining is great for a classy dinner date and outside on the patio is very casual (although casual is okay inside too).

Went here about a month ago. Food was delicious and service was prompt. Only complaint is related to the behavior of adults at another table. They had enjoyed a few adult beverages and felt it appropriate to belt out tunes at the top of their lungs. It was so distracting that I couldn't have a conversation with my husband. It was obvious that everyone seated indoors was disturbed by these folks, but nothing was done to address it. Once they left, management came by to apologize, but it was a bit too late and could have been addressed much sooner.

A pleasant surprise. Service was fantastic. Ambiance was nice, plenty of big curved booths. Food was almost there, so close. Definitely good but not quite great. Baked Brie was lovely. I had the butternut squash pasta which was unique but not enough substance as an entree-my mistake in ordering. My husband had the Bahamian zuppa di pesce, said the scallops were huge and fresh but wasn't a fan of the sausage. Definitely worth a try. Tons of options on the menu. I would love to go again and try one of the more traditional dishes.

We tried food that we have never had before. Everything here was awesome. Did I say that everything was awesome? Service was the best. If you don't believe me just come on in and ask for John. I recommend coming when they have Joel playing live music outside.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
